Oil on canvas landscape by Samuel George Phillips 1890-1965 signed LR S,George Phillips. A brass plaque attached to the frame titled “Fall Splendor At The Delaware Watergap”. Circa 1930’s.24 ½” x 29 ½” sight-size 29” x 34” framed. Phillips was a member of the Bucks County {New Hope} Impressionist school and studied under Daniel Garber at the Pennsylvania academy of Art. This painting is arguably one of his finest works.
